Firms that collect, store and transport paper or electronic media on behalf of the client or service provider for eventual secure delivery to a NAID Certified service provider for destruction.

Computer Media Destruction-Sanitization

NAID Certified for the erasure of computer hard drives by overwriting data with meaningless, random information

Computer Media Destruction-Physical

NAID Certified for physical destruction of computer hard drives by mechanical means or degaussing

Non-paper Media Destruction

NAID Certified for physical destruction of non-paper media such as optical disks, compact disks, DVDs, and magnetic tape

Paper Records Destruction

NAID Certified for physical destruction of paper records by shredding, grinding, or incineration

Data destruction services

NAID Certified information destruction destiuction services. Results will display only those service providers that offer ALL of the services that are selected.

Example: If paper records and hard drive destruction are selected, only those that are NAID Certified for both of those services will be displayed

Plant-based/Off-site

Refers to NAID Certified services provided at the service provider’s secure facility.

Mobile/On-site

Refers to NAID Certified services provided on the client’s premises. Not applicable to services such as Records Storage, Tape rotation, Online back-up, Forensic recovery.

Licensed to provide NAID Customer Employee Training

Service providers authorized to provide a turn-key program designed to train clients’ employees. Some type of employee training is legally required, and, in doing so clients dramatically reduce the likelihood and severity of potential data security breaches.

Indemnified by Downstream Data Coverage

NAID members covered by the professional indemnification developed by NAID to appropriately address the contractual liability obligations of data-related service providers. Currently limited to US service providers only.

NAID AAA Certified Members

Service providers that are subjected to scheduled and unannounced audits by a network of highly trained and accredited security professionals to verify compliance with security and regulatory requirements, thereby satisfying customers’ regulatory obligation to verify vendor qualifications.

All NAID Members

Secure destruction and custodial service providers bound to abide by the association’s Code of Ethics.

Monitor location’s certification status

This allows anyone to anonymously monitor when this location renews or lapses its NAID Certification free of charge.. The notice will be sent to the email address requesting the notification.

Micro-Media Destruction

NAID Certified for the destruction of obsolete microfilm and micro-fiche.

Australian PSPF Endorsed

Firms that are eligible to destroy “Official Information” in accordance with the Australian Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF); the NAID Certification “PSPF Endorsement” is recognized by the Australian Security Construction and Equipment Committee.
